SEE ALSO...

TIAR Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TIAR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TIAR (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. TIAR protein, also known as TIA1 cytotoxic granule-associated RNA binding protein like 1, plays a crucial role in regulating RNA metabolism and is involved in cellular response to stress, particularly in apoptosis. Nuclear localization allows TIAR to interact with pre-mRNA and influence splicing and stability, thereby impacting gene expression and cellular function. TIAR expression occurs in a wide range of cell types, particularly those of hematopoietic origin, underscoring importance in various physiological and pathological processes, including immune responses and cell death pathways. TIAR′s relationship with TIA-1 protein highlights RNA-binding proteins′ complexity in regulating cellular fate, making anti-TIAR antibody (G-6) an essential tool for studying these critical biological processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398372 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well in IF for human cells. The antibody was used for immunofluorescence with secondary anti-mouse antibody fused with Alexa488, in osteosarcoma cell line U2OS, untreated or stressed with 0.6M sorbitol for 2 hours (inducing hyperosmotic stress), using the antibody in 1:250 concentration. The signal was clear, appeared partially specific, and was present in the form of more or less diffused patches localized in the cytoplasm and foci in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm (in the hyperosmotically-stressed cells), as expected.
