TH Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TH antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tyrosine hydroxylase plays a critical role in catecholamine biosynthesis, catalyzing the conversion of tyrosine to L-dopa, which is the rate-limiting step in producing neurotransmitters such as dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline. TH (A-1) antibody targets an enzyme that directly influences mood, stress response, and motor control, with dysregulation linked to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson′s disease, characterized by diminished dopamine levels. TH gene regulation involves transcription factor binding sites such as the TPA-responsive element and the c-AMP responsive element, which are crucial for expression. Glia maturation factor and various other factors upregulate TH expression, highlighting its significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
