SEE ALSO...

TGFβ3 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGFβ3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TGFβ3 (G-9) antibody is available in non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) family, including TGFβ1, TGFβ2, and TGFβ3, regulates cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. TGFβ3 is essential for proper embryonic development and tissue homeostasis, mediating intercellular signaling that influences cell fate decisions during development. TGFβ3 is synthesized as a precursor protein, cleaved to produce a 112 amino acid polypeptide, which remains associated with a latent portion of the molecule, highlighting complex regulation and function. TGFβ3 expression levels are significant in various pathological conditions, showing overexpression in extramammary Paget′s disease and downregulation in Bowen′s disease, making TGFβ3 a valuable biomarker for tumor activity. TGFβ3 levels correlate strongly with insulin-like growth factor 1 and osteocalcin levels in serum, suggesting involvement in bone metabolism and potential implications in bone-related diseases. Glucocorticoids can inhibit TGFβ3 production by modulating mRNA levels and c-Jun activity, indicating a regulatory mechanism that could be targeted for therapeutic interventions.
