TGFβ RIII Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGFβ RIII protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TGFβ RIII (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TGFβ RIII, also known as TGFBR3 or betaglycan, plays a crucial role in transforming growth factor beta signaling pathway, which regulates cell growth, differentiation, and immune responses. TGFβ RIII is primarily located on cell surfaces and captures and presents TGFβ to signaling receptors, enhancing signaling cascades that influence cellular processes. TGFβ RIII functions as a secreted and single-pass type I membrane protein consisting of 850 amino acids, featuring a ZP domain that facilitates interaction with TGFβ ligands. TGFβ RIII undergoes significant post-translational modifications, including glycosaminoglycan group attachment, vital for function and stability. TGFβ RIII gene is located on human chromosome 1p22.2, highlighting evolutionary conservation and importance across species.

Can TGFβ RIII (A-4): sc-74511 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, TGFβ RIII (A-4): sc-74511 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
