TFR2 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects transferrin receptor 2 (TFR2) in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TFR2 plays a crucial role in iron metabolism by mediating the uptake of transferrin-bound iron, which is essential for numerous biological processes such as oxygen transport and DNA synthesis. TFR2 is predominantly located in the liver, where TFR2 is highly expressed in hepatocytes, as well as in erythroid precursors, highlighting TFR2′s importance in maintaining iron homeostasis and supporting erythrocyte differentiation.
