TEF-3 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TEF-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TEF-3 antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TEF-3, also known as TEAD4 (TEA domain family member 4), RTEF1, EFTR-2, TEFR-1, TCF13L1, or hRTEF-1B, is a 427 amino acid protein that belongs to the transcriptional enhancer factor (TEF) family, characterized by the presence of a TEA DNA-binding domain. TEF-3 is primarily localized in the nucleus and plays a vital role in muscle development, functioning as a transcriptional regulator by binding specifically to the M-CAT motif in muscle-specific gene promoters to direct their expression. Alternative splicing of TEF-3 produces multiple isoforms with potentially distinct regulatory roles, adding to our understanding of gene expression complexity in muscle tissues.
