TCR Antibody (KJ12-98) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects T cell antigen receptor (TCR) in mouse samples through immunoprecipitation (IP) and flow cytometry (FCM) applications. Anti-TCR antibody (KJ12-98) specifically recognizes TCR, which plays a crucial role in the immune response by enabling T cells to identify and respond to foreign antigens. TCR (KJ12-98) antibody recognizes TCR, a heterodimer composed of either alpha and beta or gamma and delta chains, with the majority of T cells (approximately 95%) expressing the alpha/beta heterodimer. This receptor is essential for T cell activation, as TCR translates the recognition of antigens into intracellular signals that prompt T cells to transition from a dormant state to an activated state, thereby initiating an immune response. TCR is typically expressed alongside CD3 chains and either CD4 or CD8 co-receptors, which are vital for effective signal transduction. CD4, a membrane glycoprotein with four extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, enhances the interaction between TCR and class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules presented by antigen-presenting cells. This interaction is critical for the activation of T helper cells, which express CD4, and T cytotoxic cells, which express CD8, thereby underscoring TCR′s importance in orchestrating adaptive immunity.
