TCR β Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TCR β protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TCR β (G-11) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. T cell antigen receptor (TCR) plays a crucial role in immune response by recognizing foreign antigens and initiating intracellular signaling pathways that lead to T cell activation. TCR is a heterodimer composed of either alpha and beta or gamma and delta chains, with most circulating T cells (approximately 95%) expressing the alpha/beta heterodimer. This specificity is vital for adaptive immune response, as TCR must accurately recognize and bind to peptide antigens presented by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules on antigen-presenting cells. TCR′s interaction with CD3 chains and CD4 or CD8 co-receptors enhances signal transduction, allowing T helper cells, which express CD4, and T cytotoxic cells, which express CD8, to effectively respond to pathogens. CD4 presence on T helper cells aids in class II MHC molecule recognition and increases TCR-antigen-MHC interaction avidity, amplifying immune response.
