TCL-1A Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TCL-1A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TCL-1A (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. T-cell Leukemia/Lymphoma Protein 1A (TCL-1A), also known as p14TCL1, is a product of the TCL1 gene and plays a critical role in T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL), a rare and aggressive form of mature T-cell leukemia associated with specific chromosomal rearrangements. TCL-1A functions as a regulator of cell survival and proliferation, particularly in T-cells, where TCL-1A modulates signaling pathways that prevent apoptosis. This regulatory role is crucial for maintaining T-cell homeostasis and can contribute to oncogenesis when dysregulated. TCL-1A is expressed in pre-B cells and immature thymocytes, with lower levels found in activated T cells, and is predominantly located in the cytoplasm. TCL-1A′s structural characteristics, including a unique all-beta barrel configuration, allow binding to small hydrophobic ligands, further emphasizing TCL-1A′s significance in cellular regulation and potential as a therapeutic target in T-PLL.
