TBC1D2B Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBC1D2B of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TBC1D2B Antibody (E-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBC1D2B consists of 963 amino acids and plays a crucial role in regulating GTPase activity, specifically acting as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that enhances intrinsic GTP hydrolysis rate of Ras-related proteins, thereby downregulating their active forms. This function is vital for maintaining cellular signaling pathways and ensuring proper cellular responses to external stimuli. TBC1D2B contains a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain and a Rab-GAP TBC domain, and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory roles in different cellular contexts. The gene encoding TBC1D2B is located on human chromosome 15, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Angelman syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome, highlighting TBC1D2B′s importance in human health and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398906 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
