TARDBP Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TARDBP in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TARDBP antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TARDBP, also known as TDP-43, is a crucial nuclear protein characterized by two RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains, which facilitate RNA processing and regulation. TARDBP is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels found in placenta, lung, pancreas, spleen, and genital tract, highlighting importance in various biological processes. TARDBP plays a key role in splicing pre-mRNA, including cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR), which maintains proper ion transport in epithelial cells. TARDBP dysregulation has been implicated in several neurodegenerative diseases, as TARDBP is a major component of ubiquitin-positive inclusions found in affected neurons. Multiple isoforms resulting from alternative splicing events further underscore TARDBP′s complex function and impact on cellular health and disease mechanisms.
