SEE ALSO...

Tafazzin Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Tafazzin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Tafazzin antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Tafazzin (F-7) antibody targets a protein crucial for mitochondrial function, particularly in cardiac and skeletal muscle, where Tafazzin is involved in remodeling mitochondrial membranes and regulating cardiolipin metabolism. Cardiolipin maintains mitochondrial integrity and function, and dysregulation can lead to impaired energy production and increased oxidative stress, contributing to various cardiac diseases. Mutations in Tafazzin have been linked to several serious conditions, including dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, endocardial fibroelastosis, left ventricular noncompaction, and Barth syndrome, a genetic disorder characterized by neutropenia, cardiac and skeletal myopathy, and growth deficiencies. Diverse isoforms of Tafazzin, including membrane-anchored and cytoplasmic variants, underscore the complexity of function and importance in mitochondrial health and disease.
