TAF II p70 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TAF II p70 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAF II p70 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TAF II p70, also known as TAF6, TAF2E, TAFII70, TAFII80, or TAFII85, is a crucial component of the TFIID complex, which plays a vital role in transcriptional regulation of genes by facilitating preinitiation complex assembly at the TATA promoter element. TAF II p70 is essential for recruiting RNA polymerase II and other transcription factors, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular function. TAF II p70 interacts directly with several other TAFs, including TAF II p31, TAF II p20, and TAF II p250, forming a heterodimer with TAF II p31 that may act as a coactivator for tumor suppressor protein p53. Multiple isoforms of TAF II p70, resulting from alternative splicing, add complexity to regulatory functions, allowing fine-tuning of transcriptional responses in various cellular contexts.
