TAF II p28 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAF II p28 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAF II p28 Antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TAF II p28 is a crucial component of the TFIID complex, which plays a vital role in transcriptional regulation by facilitating preinitiation complex assembly at the TATA promoter element. TAF II p28 is part of a larger TAF family, which includes p18, p32, p100, p130, p170, and p250, with TAF II p28 being particularly significant through interactions with other TAFs and TATA-binding protein (TBP) via distinct domains. TAF II p28 is essential for nuclear hormone receptor transactivation, such as estrogen receptor and vitamin D3 receptor, and serves as a limiting factor in retinoid X receptor alpha activation pathway. TAF II p28′s ability to modulate transcriptional activity is critical for various cellular processes, including differentiation and apoptosis, highlighting TAF II p28′s importance in gene expression regulation.
