TAB182 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TAB182 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAB182 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TAB182 acts as a binding partner for Tankyrase-1 and Tankyrase-2, which are poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases involved in telomere maintenance and vesicular trafficking. This interaction facilitates TAB182 poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation, a post-translational modification that can influence protein stability and function. TAB182 is expressed in various tissues, including kidney, pancreas, heart, lung, liver, ovary, and to a lesser extent, brain and peripheral blood leukocytes. TAB182 localizes in both nucleus and cytoplasm, where TAB182 colocalizes with cortical actin network, highlighting a potential role in cytoskeletal organization and cellular signaling. TAB182 structure includes two basic regions at N-terminal and C-terminal domains, along with a large internal acidic region, and C-terminal domain features two potential nuclear localization signals, which may be important for cellular compartmentalization and signaling pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514517 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay antibody for TAB182Worked relatively fine. We used HEK293 at 1:500 initially, didn't see a nice band. Then we try at 1:250, the quality is improved in the attached picture for 1:250. Perhaps, going down even further will improve the quality of the result. Again, might be because this cell line has a lower protein expression of TAB182.
