SEE ALSO...

Syntaxin 7 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaxin 7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Syntaxin 7 (A-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaxin 7 plays a crucial role in the fusion of late endosomes, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating the transport of proteins and lipids within the cell. Located primarily in late endosomal compartments, Syntaxin 7 interacts with other SNARE proteins, such as Syntaxin 8, vti1b, and VAMP-8, to form a SNARE complex that drives the fusion of vesicles with target membranes. This process is essential for proper functioning of cellular trafficking pathways, and any disruption can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. Syntaxin 7′s ability to bind α-SNAP in vitro further highlights its importance in the assembly of the SNARE complex, which is necessary for energy-efficient fusion of lipid bilayers. Notably, Syntaxin 7 expression increases in B16 melanoma cells during melanogenesis, suggesting involvement in the regulation of this process through interactions with VAMP7 or VAMP8.
