    SEE ALSO...

SWAP-70 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SWAP-70 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SWAP-70 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SWAP-70 protein plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly in B cell activation and differentiation. SWAP-70 is involved in forming a protein complex that facilitates cell-free DNA recombination between immunoglobulin heavy chain gene switch region substrates, which is essential for generating diverse antibody responses. SWAP-70 is primarily localized in resting B lymphocyte cytoplasm, but upon activation, translocates to plasma membrane and subsequently to nucleus, where SWAP-70 recognizes specific switch regions and acts as a switch recombinase, inducing DNA breaks. This dynamic localization underscores SWAP-70′s importance in signaling pathways during B cell activation. SWAP-70 contains three nuclear localization signals, exhibits weak DNA affinity, binds ATP, and forms high-affinity complexes with proteins such as B23, C23, and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase, further highlighting SWAP-70′s multifaceted role in cellular processes.

Can SWAP-70 (F-3): sc-390431 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. Yes, SWAP-70 (F-3): sc-390431 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
