    SEE ALSO...

SUG1 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SUG1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SUG1 (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SUG1 protein, also known as PSMC5 (Proteasome 26S subunit ATPase 5), plays a crucial role as an ATPase subunit within the 26S proteasome complex, which is essential for the regulated degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. SUG1 protein is localized in both the cytoplasm and nucleus, where SUG1 is part of the 19S regulatory particle that confers substrate specificity and facilitates the ATP-dependent degradation of proteins, particularly those misfolded or damaged in the endoplasmic reticulum. SUG1 protein′s importance extends to involvement in the assembly of the 26S proteasome, which has been shown to be dependent on phosphorylation by specific protein kinases. Additionally, SUG1 protein interacts with key transcription factors such as the retinoid X receptor and thyroid hormone receptor, indicating a potential role in the regulation of gene expression.

What blocking solution should I use with SUG1 (H-7): sc-390631 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
