STCH Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects STCH protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). STCH (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STCH protein, also known as HSPA13 or microsomal stress 70 protein ATPase core, is a 471 amino acid member of the heat shock protein 70 family, which plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses. Located primarily in the endoplasmic reticulum, STCH protein possesses peptide-independent ATPase activity that aids in proper folding and assembly of proteins, making STCH essential for maintaining protein homeostasis. This function is vital for cellular health, as misfolded proteins can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. Additionally, STCH protein interacts with PLIC-1 and PLIC-2, which are involved in signaling pathways connecting membrane receptors for Thrombospondin to the cytoskeleton, highlighting STCH′s importance in cellular signaling and structural integrity.
