SEE ALSO...

SSSCA1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SSSCA1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SSSCA1 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SSSCA1, also known as Sjogren syndrome/scleroderma autoantigen 1 or p27, is a 199 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in mitosis, functioning as a centromere-associated protein. This localization is significant because SSSCA1 is essential for proper chromosome segregation during cell division, and any dysfunction in this process can lead to genomic instability, which is a hallmark of many cancers. Additionally, SSSCA1 is phosphorylated upon DNA damage by ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) or ATM and Rad3-related (ATR) kinases, highlighting SSSCA1′s involvement in cellular responses to genotoxic stress. The gene encoding SSSCA1 is located on human chromosome 11, a region that harbors over 1,400 genes and is implicated in various genetic disorders, including Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Jacobsen syndrome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good signalI used this antibody for Western blot at 1:100 in 5% milk. It gave me a good signal at around 25kDa. It also gave me a non-specific band right above it.
