    SEE ALSO...

spectrin β II Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects spectrin β II in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Spectrin β II plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity and organization of the cytoskeleton, particularly in non-erythroid cells, where spectrin β II contributes to the dynamic regulation of cellular shape and mechanical properties. Spectrin β II is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is essential for the formation of spectrin-actin networks that provide support to the plasma membrane, facilitating processes such as cell signaling and movement. Additionally, spectrin β II is known to interact with calmodulin in a calcium-dependent manner, linking spectrin β II to the regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics in response to calcium fluctuations, which is vital for various cellular functions including secretion and motility. The human SPTBN1 gene encodes the nonerythroid form of β-spectrin, underscoring spectrin β II′s importance in a wide range of physiological processes. Anti-spectrin β II antibody (H-5) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying cytoskeletal organization and dynamics in various biological contexts.
