SPATA20 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SPATA20 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPATA20 (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPATA20, also known as spermatogenesis associated 20, SP411, or Tisp78, is a 786 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in fertility regulation, particularly in spermatid development. SPATA20 is expressed in the testis in an age-dependent manner and localizes to round and elongated spermatids, highlighting SPATA20′s importance in male reproductive health. SPATA20 contains a conserved thioredoxin-like domain near its N-terminus, significant for potential redox activity and involvement in cellular stress responses. SPATA20 gene is located on human chromosome 17, a region housing key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1, both vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing cancer. SPATA20′s interaction with these tumor suppressors may provide insights into broader implications in cellular processes and fertility, making SPATA20 a valuable target for research in reproductive biology and oncology.
