Sp110 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sp110 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Sp110 antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sp110, also known as Speckled 110 kDa, IPR1, VODI, IFI41, or IFI75, is a phosphoprotein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by functioning as a transcriptional coactivator of nuclear hormone receptors. Sp110 is primarily located in the nucleus, where Sp110 contributes to the formation of nuclear bodies, which are essential for regulating gene expression and responding to cellular stress. Sp110′s presence in the nucleus is vital for mediating the effects of interferon-gamma and all-trans retinoic acid, both of which enhance the immune system′s ability to combat pathogens. Notably, mutations in the gene encoding Sp110 can lead to hepatic venoocclusive disease with immunodeficiency (VODI), a serious condition characterized by T and B cell immunodeficiency and severe hypogammaglobulinemia. Additionally, due to alternative splicing, five isoforms of Sp110 exist, with isoform 3, also known as Sp110b, specifically interacting with the Hepatitis C Core Protein, highlighting Sp110′s potential role in viral pathogenesis.
