    SorCS1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SorCS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SorCS1 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. SorCS1 plays a crucial role in the central nervous system, where anti-SorCS1 antibody (E-8) detects protein involvement in sorting and trafficking of neurotrophic factors and receptors, essential for neuronal development and function. SorCS1 proper localization and function are vital for maintaining synaptic integrity and plasticity, fundamental for learning and memory processes. SorCS1 expression occurs in a combinatorial pattern alongside SorCS2 and SorCS3 homologs, highlighting importance in brain signaling pathways. Alternative splicing in human and murine SorCS1 results in multiple isoforms, each with distinct tissue distribution and functional implications, further underscoring complexity in neurobiology.
