SNX16 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SNX16 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNX16 (C-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNX16 plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking, particularly in sorting and degradation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). By directing EGFR to the endosomal compartment, SNX16 regulates EGF-induced cell signaling, which is vital for cellular responses to growth factors. Notably, SNX16 interaction with phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate signaling is essential for function, as SNX16 facilitates sorting of receptors and subsequent degradation, thereby influencing cellular processes such as proliferation and differentiation. Overexpression of SNX16 has been shown to enhance degradation of EGFR in response to EGF, while mutations in phox homology domain can disrupt this regulatory mechanism, highlighting SNX16 importance in maintaining proper signaling pathways within the cell.
