SNM1B Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SNM1B protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNM1B (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNM1B protein, also known as DCLRE1B or APOLLO, plays a crucial role in repairing DNA interstrand cross-links (ICLs), which are detrimental to cellular integrity as they hinder DNA replication and transcription. This 532 amino acid nuclear protein maintains telomere stability during S-phase of the cell cycle and localizes to discrete foci within the nucleus, where SNM1B participates in early DNA-damage response. SNM1B interacts with TRF2 (telomeric repeat binding factor 2), a key protein involved in telomere protection and organization, highlighting SNM1B′s importance in genomic stability. SNM1B undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation by ATM or ATR kinases, which are critical for activation and function in DNA repair pathways. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1, SNM1B is a member of the DNA repair metallo-beta-lactamase family, underscoring SNM1B′s significance in cellular defense mechanisms against DNA damage.
