SEE ALSO...

SNAT5 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SNAT5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNAT5 (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNAT5 protein, also known as SLC38A5, plays a crucial role in the transport of neutral amino acids across cell membranes, which is vital for numerous physiological processes, including neurotransmitter cycling and metabolic regulation. SNAT5 is particularly important in the central nervous system, where SNAT5 participates in the glutamate-glutamine cycle, facilitating the efflux of glutamine from glial cells, thus maintaining the balance of neurotransmitters essential for proper brain function. SNAT5 is expressed in various mammalian tissues, with a notable distribution in the neocortex, hippocampus, striatum, and spinal cord, highlighting SNAT5′s significance in both neural activity and overall metabolic homeostasis. SNAT5′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in amino acid transport further underscores SNAT5′s importance in cellular nutrient uptake and signaling pathways, making anti-SNAT5 antibody (G-7) an invaluable tool for researchers studying amino acid transport mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.
