SNAT2 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SNAT2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SNAT2 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNAT2, also known as ATA2, PRO1068, and SAT2, is encoded by the SLC38A2 gene and is part of the sodium-coupled neutral amino acid transporter family, which plays a crucial role in nutrient uptake, energy production, and neurotransmitter cycling. SNAT2 is primarily located in the spinal cord and brain stem nuclei, particularly within the auditory system, highlighting SNAT2′s potential importance in neural function and development. SNAT2 expression in placental tissue suggests a vital role in fetal development, as disruptions in SNAT2 transport function have been linked to fetal growth retardation.
