SNAP 25 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SNAP 25 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNAP 25 is a critical component of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex, which plays a vital role in the process of neurotransmitter release at synapses. SNAP 25 is primarily located in the presynaptic membrane of neurons, where SNAP 25 facilitates the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the plasma membrane, allowing for the release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft. Proper functioning of SNAP 25 is essential for effective synaptic transmission, and dysregulation of SNAP 25 has been implicated in various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders.
