SEE ALSO...

SNAP 23 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SNAP 23 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNAP 23 is a critical protein involved in the regulation of vesicle docking and fusion, which is essential for processes such as neurotransmitter release and hormone secretion. SNAP 23 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is associated with the plasma membrane, where SNAP 23 plays a pivotal role in exocytosis by forming a stable complex with v-SNAREs and t-SNAREs. The interaction of SNAP 23 with these proteins facilitates the fusion of vesicles with target membranes, ensuring the proper delivery of cargo within the cell. SNAP 23 is expressed in all mammalian cells, highlighting SNAP 23′s fundamental role in cellular communication and transport mechanisms. The human SNAP 23 gene encodes two isoforms, SNAP 23A and SNAP 23B, with SNAP 23B being a truncated version of SNAP 23A, lacking specific amino acid residues that may influence functional properties. The versatility of anti-SNAP 23 antibody (F-1) in various applications makes SNAP 23 an invaluable tool for researchers studying cellular transport mechanisms and the underlying processes of exocytosis.
