SHPRH Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SHPRH protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SHPRH (E-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SHPRH protein, known as SNF2 histone linker PHD RING helicase, plays a crucial role in DNA repair mechanisms by functioning as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability. SHPRH protein is composed of 1,683 amino acids and features a RING-type zinc finger, a PHD-type zinc finger, a Histone H1 domain, and a helicase C-terminal and ATP-binding domain, highlighting its complex structure that is vital for its function. SHPRH is expressed in a wide range of tissues and exists as a homodimer, with human SHPRH sharing 86% amino acid identity with its mouse counterpart, indicating a conserved role across species. SHPRH′s importance in the ubiquitination process, which targets short-lived or abnormal proteins for degradation, underscores its significance in cellular homeostasis and the prevention of diseases related to DNA damage.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514395 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
