SH3BP4 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SH3BP4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SH3BP4 antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SH3BP4, also known as SH3-domain binding protein 4, TTP, or BOG25, is a 963 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to the nucleus and exhibiting ubiquitous expression, particularly in the pancreas. SH3BP4′s structure is characterized by three Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, an SH3 domain, a PXXP motif, a bipartite nuclear targeting signal, and a tyrosine phosphorylation site, which are essential for mediating interactions with endocytic proteins such as clathrin and dynamin. These interactions suggest SH3BP4 is involved in intracellular sorting and cell cycle regulation, highlighting SH3BP4′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating proper cellular signaling. SH3BP4 is located on human chromosome 2, a region containing over 1,400 genes and accounting for nearly 8% of the human genome, underscoring SH3BP4′s potential implications in various genetic disorders, including those linked to mutations in neighboring genes.
