SF3B3 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SF3B3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SF3B3 (B-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SF3B3 is a critical component of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex, which is essential for the assembly of the spliceosome, a molecular machine responsible for the splicing of pre-mRNA. This process is vital for proper gene expression, as SF3B3 removes non-coding sequences and joins coding sequences together, ultimately influencing protein diversity and function. Within the spliceosomal complex, SF3B3 interacts with other spliceosomal proteins, including SAP 49, SAP 145, and SAP 155, forming a protein complex that is crucial for the recruitment of U2 snRNP to the branch site of pre-mRNA. Notably, the interaction between SAP 49 and SAP 145 is mediated by the amino-terminus of SAP 49, which contains two RNA-recognition motifs, highlighting the intricate nature of protein-protein interactions that facilitate the splicing process. Anti-SF3B3 antibody (B-4) effectively detects and characterizes SF3B3, making this antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying gene expression and RNA processing mechanisms.
