Sel-1L Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Sel-1L in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sel-1L is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nuclei of normal pancreatic cells, where Sel-1L plays a crucial role in regulating cellular proliferation and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Sel-1L (G-11) antibody′s antiproliferative properties are particularly significant as Sel-1L inhibits tumor cell growth in various cancers, including breast, pancreatic, esophageal, and prostate cancers. By remodeling the extracellular matrix, Sel-1L creates a microenvironment that is less conducive to invasive growth, thereby potentially preventing tumor progression. Notably, Sel-1L expression is drastically downregulated or absent in approximately two-thirds of breast tumors, leading to disrupted cell-matrix interactions and impaired collagen binding. This disruption may facilitate the transition from normal mucosa to neoplastic lesions, indicating that Sel-1L could serve as a valuable biomarker for identifying patients at high risk of developing cancer. With a multifaceted role in tumor biology and cellular signaling, anti-Sel-1L antibody (G-11) is an essential tool for researchers investigating cancer mechanisms and therapeutic targets.
