SEE ALSO...

sEH Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects sEH protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-sEH antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. sEH protein, also known as soluble epoxide hydrolase, plays a crucial role in the metabolism of epoxides, which are reactive intermediates formed during the metabolism of polyunsaturated fatty acids. By catalyzing the hydrolysis of these epoxides into less reactive and more water-soluble dihydrodiols, sEH contributes to the detoxification process, thereby preventing potential cellular damage and inflammation. This enzymatic activity is particularly important in tissues such as the liver and kidney, where sEH is highly expressed, as sEH helps regulate lipid signaling pathways and maintain homeostasis. sEH enzyme is encoded by the EPHX2 gene, located on chromosome 8p21.2, and interacts with various signaling molecules, influencing processes such as vascular function and pain perception. With broad applications and significant biological relevance, sEH (A-5) monoclonal antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the role of epoxide hydrolases in health and disease.

I am using sEH (A-5): sc-166961 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: cjMara
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great antibodyFirst I received this antibody as free sample and tried in immunocytochemistry with my primary astrocyte cells. It worked nicely. Very specific staining in cytosol at 1:250 concentration. Later I ordered this antibody and used in mice brain western blotting and mice brain sections. It worked perfectly in both the application.
