SEE ALSO...

Sec63 Antibody (1A8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Sec63 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Sec63 antibody (1A8) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Sec63 plays a crucial role in the translocation of nascent polypeptides across the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane, a process vital for proper protein maturation and function. Located within the ER, Sec63 is part of the Sec61 complex, which serves as a channel for the translocation of proteins into the ER lumen. This complex is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, ensuring proteins are correctly folded and modified before transport to their final destinations. The interaction of Sec63 with other components of the translocation machinery, such as Sec62, highlights its importance in the protein transport process, which is critical for various cellular functions, including secretion, membrane insertion, and organelle targeting. Using Sec63 (1A8) antibody in research can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of protein translocation and the role of Sec63 in cellular physiology.
