Rsk-2 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rsk-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHCP, and ELISA. Rsk-2 Antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rsk-2, also known as ribosomal protein S6 kinase, 90kD, polypeptide 3, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in response to growth factors and mitogens. Rsk-2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where activation by phosphorylation occurs in response to extracellular signals, leading to regulation of various cellular processes such as cell growth, proliferation, and survival. Rsk-2′s cytoplasmic localization enables rapid response to signaling cascades initiated by receptor tyrosine kinases, thereby influencing downstream targets essential for cellular function and adaptation. Rsk-2 interacts with several key proteins, including extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), which are vital for mediating effects of growth factors and stress signals. This interaction underscores Rsk-2′s role as a critical node in signaling networks that govern cellular responses to environmental changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best anti-RSK2 antibodies for immunodepletion!We have purchased multiple anti-RSK2 antibodies from different companies to perform immunodepletion of RSK2 from Xenopus egg extracts. Although most antibodies worked well in IB, only this antibody (sc-9986) quantitively immunodepleted RSK2 from Xenopus egg extracts (see attached photo).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good antibody for Western blottingThis product has been independently tested and validated in-house at Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation as a relatively potent and highly specific antibody for Western blotting with a mixture of mouse brain, testes and thymus tissue lysates. It strongly detected an appropriately sized ~84 kDa target protein in these immunoblots.
