    SEE ALSO...

RRP7A Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RRP7A of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RRP7A monoclonal antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RRP7A, also known as ribosomal RNA processing 7 homolog A, CGI-96, or gastric cancer antigen Zg14, is a 280 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain, which is crucial for RNA processing and ribosome biogenesis. Proper functioning of RRP7A is essential for ribosomal RNA maturation, a process vital for protein synthesis in cells. Disruptions in RRP7A function can lead to significant cellular dysfunction and are implicated in various diseases, including certain cancers and genetic disorders. RRP7A is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 22, a region associated with several genetic conditions, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type 2. RRP7A′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in RNA processing further underscores RRP7A′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and highlights RRP7A′s potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in related diseases.

Can RRP7A (B-4): sc-377210 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, RRP7A (B-4): sc-377210 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
