RNH1 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects RNH1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RNH1, known as the placental ribonuclease inhibitor, is a crucial acidic protein composed of 460 amino acids, characterized by a notably high content of leucine and cysteine residues. RNH1 plays a vital role in regulating mRNA turnover and is a member of a family of cytoplasmic RNase inhibitors that are widely expressed across different tissues. RNH1 functions by binding to a diverse array of mammalian ribonucleases, effectively holding them in a latent form, which is essential for maintaining cellular RNA stability. Additionally, RNH1 is significant in angiogenesis, as RNH1 reversibly binds to angiogenin, a member of the RNaseA superfamily, thereby inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels. This inhibition is particularly important in cancer biology, as angiogenesis is a critical process for tumor growth and metastasis, suggesting RNH1 may have therapeutic implications in cancer gene therapy. With an ability to modulate RNase activity and influence angiogenic processes, anti-RNH1 antibody (C-1) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating RNA metabolism and cancer progression.
