RNase T2 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RNase T2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RNase T2 (E-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNase T2, also known as RNASE6PL, is a 256 amino acid secreted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism and is classified within a highly conserved family of cytoplasmic ribonucleases. RNase T2 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, and functions as a class II tumor suppressor, which is significant in cancer biology as RNase T2 helps regulate tumorigenesis and metastasis. RNase T2 is ubiquitously expressed, and mutations in the gene encoding RNase T2 can lead to cystic leukoencephalopathy, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe neurological symptoms. RNase T2 deficiency may disrupt brain development and myelination, potentially through mechanisms involving angiogenesis or RNA metabolism, highlighting RNase T2′s importance in both normal cellular function and disease states.
