RNase HII-A Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects RNase HII-A of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-RNase HII-A antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RNase HII-A, also known as RNASEH2A, RNASEHI, AGS4, or RNHIA, is a crucial 299 amino acid catalytic subunit of the RNase HII complex, which plays a vital role in DNA replication by degrading RNA within RNA:DNA duplexes. RNase HII-A is primarily localized in the nucleus, where RNase HII-A is responsible for removing Okazaki fragment RNA primers from the lagging strand during DNA synthesis, ensuring the integrity and continuity of the newly synthesized DNA. RNase HII-A catalyzes the endonucleolytic cleavage of RNA to a 5′-phosphomonoester and requires magnesium or manganese as cofactors for activity. Mutations in the gene encoding RNase HII-A are linked to Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome type 4 (AGS4), a severe autosomal recessive encephalopathy that leads to significant neurological impairments, including cerebral atrophy and chronic cerebrospinal fluid lymphocytosis, often resulting in early childhood mortality. RNase HII-A′s interaction with other proteins and essential function in DNA replication highlight its importance in cellular processes and disease mechanisms, making RNase HII-A monoclonal antibody (G-10) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.

can this antibody detect mouse RnaseH2A?

Asked by: KKumar
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not yet been tested in mouse and so that is not a recommended species at this time. We are still gathering data to show on our website. Check back for updates!

Can I receive a FREE 10 µg sample of RNase HII-A (G-10): sc-515475 and RNase H1 (H-4) sc-376326 for initial testing although it has to be shipped to Australia. If yes, how long would it roughly take to be sent to Canberra/ Australia? Thank you

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with RNase HII-A (G-10): sc-515475?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong specific band on Western BlotI received this as a free sample to test. I would be happy to buy this based on the Western blot result I got. Whole cell lysate (20ug protein) for two WT HCT116 clones and two HCT116 RNASEH2A-KO clones was separated by SDS-PAGE and probed with this G-10 (sc-515475) antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. Strong specific bands show in the WT clones, whereas the KO clones show no signal in this MW range. There are some (strong) non-specific bands at higher MW, something to keep in mind when using this antibody for other appications. Seems an excellent antibody for the detection of human RNASEH2A by Western blotting.
