SEE ALSO...

RHAMM Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects RHAMM in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RHAMM, also known as the receptor for hyaluronic acid-mediated motility, plays a crucial role in regulating cell motility and adhesion, which are vital processes in tissue repair and immune response. RHAMM is primarily located on the cell surface, anchored to the plasma membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor, allowing RHAMM to interact with the extracellular matrix and other signaling molecules. RHAMM localization facilitates communication between cells and their environment, influencing cellular behaviors such as migration and proliferation, particularly in cancer progression. Notably, RHAMM expression is often upregulated in malignant tissues, contributing to tumor growth and metastasis, making RHAMM a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Anti-RHAMM antibody (C-9) is an essential tool for researchers studying the dynamics of cell movement and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer biology.

What blocking solution should I use with RHAMM (C-9): sc-515222 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
