    SEE ALSO...

RCC2 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RCC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RCC2 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RCC2, also known as regulator of chromosome condensation 2, KIAA1470, or TD60, is a crucial 522 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in cell division. RCC2 is primarily localized to the nucleus, centromeres, and the midzone of the mitotic spindle in a cell-cycle dependent manner, which is vital for ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during mitosis. RCC2 interacts with Rac 1, functioning as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that is essential for completing mitosis and cytokinesis. Additionally, RCC2 undergoes DNA damage-dependent phosphorylation, likely mediated by ATM or ATR, which highlights RCC2′s importance in maintaining genomic stability. The gene encoding RCC2 is located on human chromosome 1, a region that spans 260 million base pairs and contains over 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, and several cancers. The aberrations in chromosome 1 are linked to a range of malignancies, underscoring RCC2′s significance in both normal cellular function and disease pathology.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514340 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
