SEE ALSO...

RBPMS Antibody (1C12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RBPMS protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RBPMS antibody (1C12) is available as the non-conjugated format. RBPMS, or RNA binding protein with multiple splicing, is a 196 amino acid protein characterized by one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain, which is crucial for RNA binding function. RBPMS plays a significant role in regulating RNA metabolism, including processes such as splicing, stability, and translation of mRNA, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular function. RBPMS interaction with various RNA molecules makes RBPMS essential for maintaining proper cellular homeostasis and responding to stress conditions. The gene encoding RBPMS is located on human chromosome 8, a region associated with numerous genetic disorders and malignancies, highlighting RBPMS importance in both normal physiology and disease states.

Can sc-293285: RBPMS (1C12) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293285: RBPMS (1C12) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
