RBM9 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects RBM9 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM9, also known as RNA binding motif protein 9, RTA, fxh, FOX2, Fox-2, HNRBP2, or HRNBP2, is a 390 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain, which is crucial for regulating alternative exon splicing, particularly in the nervous system and various other cell types. RBM9′s ability to modulate splicing is vital for generating diverse protein isoforms, allowing for tissue-specific expression and functional variation. RBM9 achieves this by preventing U2AF65 binding, a key component of the spliceosome, to the 3′ splice site of RNA splicing elements, thereby influencing tissue-specific exon splicing. Additionally, RBM9 interacts with estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) transcription factor, further underscoring RBM9′s importance in gene regulation and cellular signaling pathways. Notably, RBM9 exists in eight isoforms due to alternative splicing events, highlighting the complexity and versatility of RBM9′s function in cellular processes.
