    SEE ALSO...

RBM9 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects RBM9 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM9 (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM9, also known as RNA binding motif protein 9, RTA, fxh, FOX2, Fox-2, HNRBP2, or HRNBP2, is a 390 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain. RBM9 plays a crucial role in regulating alternative exon splicing, particularly in the nervous system and other cell types, by modulating the splicing activity of the highly conserved RNA 5′-UGCAUGU-3′ element, which serves as an intron splicing enhancer often found adjacent to tissue-specific alternative exons. RBM9 prevents U2AF65 binding, a large subunit of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein auxiliary factor, to the 3′ splice site of the RNA splicing element, thereby influencing the alternative splicing of tissue-specific exons. Additionally, RBM9 interacts with estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) transcription factor, regulating transcriptional activity, and exists in eight isoforms due to alternative splicing events, highlighting complexity and importance in gene expression regulation.
