RBM25 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RBM25 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBM25 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBM25, also known as RNA binding motif protein 25, S164, RNPC7, RED120, or fSAP94, is a 784 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one PWI domain and one RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain. RBM25 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and nuclear speckles, where RBM25 plays a crucial role as a splicing factor, stabilizing the pre-mRNA-U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex and potentially linking splicing with mRNA 3′-end formation. The importance of RBM25 in mRNA processing highlights potential implications in gene expression regulation and cellular function. The gene encoding RBM25 is located on human chromosome 14, a region that contains over 700 genes and is associated with various genetic disorders, including Alzheimer′s disease and α1-antitrypsin deficiency, underscoring the significance of RBM25 in both normal physiology and disease states.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374271 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
