SEE ALSO...

Ras-GRF1 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ras-GRF1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ras-GRF1 (D-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ras-GRF1 plays a pivotal role in regulating Ras signaling pathways, which are crucial for cell growth, differentiation, and survival. Specifically, Ras-GRF1 functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that facilitates converting Ras proteins from their inactive GDP-bound state to their active GTP-bound form, a key step in signal transduction initiated by cell surface receptor activation. This activation is essential for downstream signaling cascades that influence various cellular processes, including proliferation and apoptosis. Ras-GRF1 exhibits specificity for H- and N-Ras proteins, enhancing GDP release, while showing no effect on related Ral A or Cdc42Hs proteins. Structural similarities between Ras-GRF1 and other GEFs, such as human breakpoint cluster protein and Dbl proto-oncogene product, underscore Ras-GRF1′s importance in cellular signaling networks. Understanding Ras-GRF1 function and interactions is vital for elucidating mechanisms underlying various diseases, including cancer, where Ras signaling is often dysregulated.
