RANK Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RANK protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RANK antibody (B-8) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RANK, or receptor activator of NFκB, plays a crucial role in immune system and bone metabolism by mediating osteoclast differentiation and activation, essential for bone resorption. This type I membrane receptor is predominantly expressed on dendritic cells and found in various tissues, highlighting RANK′s importance in both immune responses and skeletal health. The C-terminus of RANK is critical for interaction with tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factors (TRAF) 2, 5, and 6, necessary for NFκB signaling pathway activation. RANKL (also known as TRANCE or ODF), primarily expressed in lymphoid tissues and T cell lines, indicates significant regulatory roles in T cell function and osteoclastogenesis.
