Rad9 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Rad9 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rad9 plays a crucial role in the DNA damage response, particularly at the G2 checkpoint, where Rad9 is involved in the signal transduction cascade that regulates cell cycle arrest. Rad9 is essential for maintaining genomic stability, helping to prevent cell cycle progression when DNA damage is present, allowing repair mechanisms to take place. Rad9 undergoes extensive phosphorylation in vivo, enhancing interactions with other checkpoint control proteins, such as Rad1 and Hus1, forming a complex vital for effective DNA damage signaling. Additionally, Rad9′s association with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins, including Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL, suggests a role in regulating apoptosis following DNA damage, highlighting Rad9′s importance in both cell cycle regulation and cellular stress responses. anti-Rad9 antibody (B-6) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA damage response and cell cycle regulation mechanisms.
